dvd recommendations

ideally I would like to get my hands on "tribal style" but as that is not available, can anyone recommend a good documentary style movie on Tribal Bellydance. I would like to share it with some students at an upcoming event. If it is available from Netflix, that is a plus.

Rachael, have you seen Bellydance Television, Volume 2? I'm thinking that might be a good fit with what you're trying to do. It has an extensive profile of Carolena Nericcio, which also includes interviews with Jill Parker, Paulette Rees-Denis, and Kajira Djoumahna. This segment lasts about 36 minutes.

There's a full review on my web site at www.shira.net/videocenter...ocumentaries - there's only one paragraph in the review about the segment on Carolena because the DVD includes a number of other topics as well, but it gives you a feel for the overall content.

You can buy Bellydance Television from www.bd-tv.com, which I recommend because I always like to encourage people to buy directly from the artists. Or, you can also find it at IAMED's web site at www.bellydance.org .

    August is so far away...

Must mark the calendar now to remember. Hmm, have to see if I can get a good bd release each month so August won't seem quite so far.

    Can't wait!
